About Us
Upper Valley Community Health Services, Inc. is a federally funded
Community Health Center which offers a comprehensive variety of
primary medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy services to
its patients regardless of their ability to pay. UVCHS began in
2001 as a part-time free clinic; but the need for services far
exceeded the capacity to provide. With a federal grant, the health
center was able to open full-time in 2008 with expanded services and
state-of-the-art equipment in St. Anthony, Idaho.
The medical center provides comprehensive services for all life cycles in
both resident and seasonal populations. As a result, providers are
presented with a wide variety of cases from routine exams and acute and
chronic disease management to urgent care. With a large Hispanic
population, UVCHS provides bi-lingual, bi-cultural support for patients
and staff.
UVCHS welcomes all patients, whether insured or uninsured, without regard
to social or economic status. It is our mission to ensure that everyone
has access to quality health care in a compassionate and sensitive
environment.
Although it is the newest Community Health Center in Idaho, UVCHS has
been expanding its services since it opened. As funds become available
and as circumstances permit, our strategic plan calls for a new,
consolidated facility in St. Anthony and satellite clinics in
surrounding communities.
