Adams County Health Center (ACHC) has an opening for a Dental Hygienist with an Extended Access Endorsement to start August 2, 2010 in their Council, Idaho clinic. This Federally Qualified Health Center offers the following services in a multi-disciplinary environment:
- Cleanings and exams, including X-rays
- Fillings
- Extractions
- Deep cleanings
- Stainless steel crowns
- Patient education in dental-related matters
Clinic hours are 7:30 am - 6:30 pm Monday - Thursday and 7:30 am - 4:30 pm on Fridays. There are no evening or weekend hours. This is a 32-hour per week contract position which allows for 200 hours of leave annually for the all-inclusive purposes of vacation, continuing education and sick time off. Medical and dental insurance coverage is available to the employee. ACHC pays 50% of the premiums. ACHC also offers a 403b retirement plan with employer match.
Situated in the picturesque west central portion of the state and surrounded by mountains, lakes and rivers, Council is the county seat of Adams County, which has a population of approximately 3,000. The sparsely populated county offers boundless outdoor recreational opportunities including camping and hiking, fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling. This charming community of about 800 people is located about 130 miles northwest of Boise and 35 miles southwest of McCall.
