Valley Family Health Care follows a family practice model to provide primary health care services to migrant and seasonal farm workers and other medically underserved persons in western Idaho and eastern Oregon.
We provide comprehensive services through family practice physicians, family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified nurse midwives, clinical social workers, dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants.
Ancillary care is provided through registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nurses aides, and lay health promoters. Each provider practices within the scope of his/her professional training and licensure.
Valley Family Health Care’s clinics are in health professional shortage areas. A portion of our funding comes from the federal government so that we may provide services to these underserved areas. The clinic system is governed by a Board of Directors made up of community members, who are also patients of the clinic system. This Board of Directors sets strategy and policy for the organization, which are then carried out by the administrative staff of the clinic.
