| Job Description | General direction of medical activities, staff, and standards in addition to actual provision of administering direct primary health care services to all age group patients. Responsible for maintaining comprehensive, quality health coverage. Ability to assume inpatient/OB on-call coverage. Additional skills in the following areas are beneficial: minor emergency services, x-ray interpretation; minor fracture reduction; and participates in continuous quality improvement policies. |
| Community Description | The community is unmatched in its climate and surrounding scenic beauty. Beautiful mountains, four ski slopes, golf courses, water skiing, river rafting, hunting, fishing and hiking are in close proximity. The famous Sun Valley is only 96 miles away (approximately a two hour drive). The Mountain Home community is approximaely 45 miles from Boise, the largest city in Idaho, which has excellent shopping, art/theater and sporting activities. The Glenns Ferry community lies within 1-5 miles of the Snake river and the health center is one mile from boat dock access. The Oregon Trail Historical Interpretive Center located in Three Island Crossing State Park includes interactive technology, theater, computerized exhibits, classroom, museum, memorial and observations points. Glenns Ferry is the home to one of the 12 Idaho wineries, Carmela Vineyards. It is truly a sporting paradise and fantastic place to raise children. |
