Valley Family Health Care (Vale, Oregon)
A well-established, multi-site system with six medical and three dental locations near the Idaho/Oregon border has an opening for a Family Physician with a strong love of the outdoors, a commitment to community and family, and a fondness for small town living. Must be licensable to practice medicine in Idaho and Oregon. Hours are 8-5 MWTHF and 11-8 on Tues. The clinic is currently staffed with two full time Physician Assistants, two nurses and two CNAs. Call schedule is 1 in 7. Applications from recent graduates are welcomed.
This clinic offers a signing/retention bonus package, a very competitive salary, plus a full package of benefits, including paid malpractice insurance, health and accident insurance, continuing education allowance and paid leave, retirement program and tax sheltering, life and disability insurance, state license fees paid, moving allowance, generous paid time off, and potential loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps.
The community of about 2,000 is the county seat and is located just a few miles from easy freeway access, shopping and a 92-bed full service hospital. Located along the Malheur River, this area of abundant natural beauty offers residents a host of outdoor activities, including water and snow skiing, hiking, hunting, fishing, golfing, camping, boating, and white water rafting. This part of the country is known for its dry climate and four distinct seasons, including cold, but short winters.
The area offers excellent public and private elementary and secondary schools as well as a two-year community college. The working environment is relaxed and personifies small town practice at its very best. And yet, the city of Boise is just over an hour away with all of the amenities you would expect in a state capital.
